Sesame Seed Sweets
Ingredients:
1 cup sesame seeds, hulled or unhealed, white or black or any combination
1 cup granulated sweetener, monk fruit, erythritol, allulose, xylitol or organic sugar (I use monk fruit)
2 large sheets of parchment paper
Here’s How:
Roast sesame seeds in a large skillet until golden and set aside.
In another large skillet, place sweetener in pan, and cook on medium high heat. You will start seeing the sugar melt and liquify. Stir minimally by folding the sugar into the melted sugar with a spatula, just enough to distribute heat and melt. Eventually, it will all liquify.
Remove from heat and stir in sesame seeds.
Transfer mixture on to the bottom parchment paper and gently spread as evenly as you can.
With other parchment paper, you can press it out to desired thickness (approximately 3/4” thick) and then fold the edges of the parchment in and up to make smooth edges.
Allow to cool halfway, and cut into portions before it hardens all the way.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoy.
Very satisfying and without real sugar, there are 0 Carbs! Yum!
